Political Mission to Bootan

This Mission to Bhutan is a political discourse about the relations between British India and one of its northern neighbors. The period is towards the end of the eighteen hundreds, when little was known about this landlocked Himalayan kingdom. Much of the book is devoted to the historical and political background, the culture and the nature of Bhutan. Above all, the author seeks to place on record as many of the facts surrounding the mission as possible.
